One of the many horrendous commercials with Flo (Stephanie Courtney), who, for some reason, Progressive has decided to make the face of their organization.
The Progressive lady is possibly one of the worst in this business. I used to really hate the rice cake lady, but it’s not even close anymore. How many stereotypes did you notice while watching this?
- Leather jacket on the ‘motorcycle chick’
- Dude with croakies is the boating guy
- Single dad and redhead kid who are the ‘trailer park’ people
- Goatie and trucker hat on truck driver
Not to mention the obvious – this annoying ass chick who thinks that she owns the world. She reminds me of the girl who would be the early one coming to your house party and you think she might be the funny one who hopefully has some hot friends, so you pretend to laugh at her stupid jokes since there is no one else at the party yet. Pretty soon she’s drunk and starts telling you her life story that you don’t want to hear when you are trying to enjoy the night with your real friends. In a couple days she sits in the empty chair near you in the student union, adds you on facebook, etc. Eventually she gets the hint and takes your lack of enthusiastic friendship like you stabbed her in the back and never speaks to you again.
